Sylvia Hart Wright

Author of  When Spirits Come Calling

Sylvia Hart Wright is the author of Highlights of Recent American Architecture and Sourcebook of Contemporary North American Architecture as well as a monograph on urban education. A graduate of Cornell University, Professor Wright holds advanced degrees in sociology (N.Y.U.) and information science (Columbia). She has won numerous academic honors and has been listed in Who's Who in the East and Who's Who of American Women.

After her husband died in 1983, she began sensing that he was contacting her--and learned that others who'd been close to him sometimes sensed his presence too. In 1991, she retired from the City University of New York and moved to Oregon. Since then, she has devoted much of her time to afterlife research. Articles about her work have appeared in Britain and Italy as well as the United States.

"Over time, my own experiences, plus scores of interviews with people who've had similar ones, have transformed me from a total skeptic to a firm believer in survival of the spirit after death," says Wright.
